Manitoba Workers Stream
The Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream
(SWM) is built around the particular requirements for Manitoba
employers. SWM chooses foreign-trained workers who have the necessary
skills and recommends candidates to apply for Canada for permanent residency. The
priority is given to candidates who have strong ties to Manitoba There are two
paths for Manitoba immigration.
- Manitoba Work Express
Pathway
For those who are
currently working in Manitoba with temporary work permits through the Temporary
Foreign Worker program or as international graduate students of any
provincial. Candidates do not have to be employed in occupations that are
In-Demand.
- Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway
For applicants from
overseas with job offers from approved Manitoba employers.
Qualifications for
Skilled Worker Overseas Stream
The Skilled Worker
Overseas Stream (SWO) comprises both an exclusive Canada Express Entry Pathway
and an express provincial route.
It’s aimed at
skilled workers who have skills and education in Manitoba’s In-Demand
Occupations. The priority is given to applicants and spouses who have
close connections to their families, and the ability to speak a second
language, have education and experience that will allow them to get job
opportunities quickly.
1. Manitoba Expres Entry
Pathway
International applicants who qualify
under a different MPNP stream, who have met the Express Entry criteria and have
an active Express Entry profile. Candidates require skills,
qualifications, and knowledge of one of Manitoba’s In-Demand occupations and a
strong familial connection to Manitoba.
2.
Human Capital
Pathway
Internationally skilled workers with
qualifications, experience and training in one of Manitoba’s Demand
jobs. Candidates must be able to be employed as soon as their arrival in
Manitoba.
Requirements
for the International Revenue Stream
The International Education Stream (IES) is designed for
international graduates of Manitoba universities and colleges. In IES the
candidates do not have to spend at least six months on their subject prior to
applying for nominations to MPNP. MPNP nomination. It has three pathways:

Career Employment Pathway
The eligibility requirements for
applicants include:

A one-year or longer course at an
accredited postsecondary Manitoba establishment within 3 years of the
submission of the application.

You can receive a full-time offer in an
Manitoba In-Demand position that is linked to the degree you have completed.
●
Resident of Manitoba

Graduate
Internship Pathway
Graduates or Doctoral holders that have successfully finished Mitacs
Accelerate and Elevate internships are eligible to be nominated for internships
without an employment offer from the province.
3.
Student Entrepreneur Pathway
The eligibility requirements for
applicants include:

Have completed a two-year or more course
at a post-secondary institution that is a recognized Manitoba institution
●
Six months of business experience in
Manitoba
●
Resides in Manitoba since the time of
graduation.
●
No minimum personal net worth
requirement.
