The Quebec Immigration selection system, for Quebec Skilled Workers, dictates which applicants will be able to achieve economic stability upon immigration to Quebec. The assessment of the Quebec Skilled Workers applicants is based on factors different from the Federal Skilled Worker Program and those who meet the criteria are also acknowledged by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. Once the applicants are selected form the process, they are given a Quebec Selection Certificate, and based on that they are eligible to apply for a Canadian permanent resident visa.
Skilled Worker applicants must score sufficient points as required by the Quebec Immigration selection system in order to qualify for a Quebec Selection Certificate. A single individual and one with a spouse or common-law partner must achieve a minimum score of 49 and 57 points respectively (criteria stated below).
