Manitoba along with Ontario released Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) invitations to potential candidates.
Although the provincial nomination isn’t the same as permanent residence It is nevertheless the first step toward obtaining permanent residence through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Except for Quebec and Nunavut The majority of Canadian provincial and territorial governments have provincial or territorial provincial nomination programs. With these programs, potential candidates are able to apply for provincial nomination.
Ontario
Seven25 notices of intent were sent by Ontario on the 21st of December to students in the Master’s graduate track within the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).
A candidate must satisfy the following criteria for eligibility in order to be considered in this stream:
● A valid Ontario master’s in a university degree is required.
● The Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) at a level 7 or more is mandatory (English or French)
● A minimum of one year of legal residency in Ontario in the last two years is required.
Of every Canadian province Ontario is the one that welcomes the largest amount of newcomers each year. It also is the one that receives the most invitations to join under any PNP. In the year 2022 Ontario had the opportunity to welcome 9,750 applicants. On the 22nd of December Ontario announced that it was inviting an amount that was the highest number of applicants allowed.
From 2023 onward, new applications, in addition to ones already submitted to OINP will be considered and will be considered as part of the program.
Manitoba
Manitoba, the province that is Manitoba has invited candidates from 16 provinces to apply on December 29 in the context of the special immigration measures enacted through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
The candidates must satisfy the following requirements to be eligible for Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP):
● Citizenship is required in Ukraine
● You must have at least CLB 4 in each language band.
● Have established a connection to Manitoba (close relation to Manitoba, family-like, community previous work or studies in Manitoba)
● You must pass a valid language test
● A minimum of 60 points in accordance with MPNP assessment guidelines
